Me and my fiance broke up a couple of weeks ago after having a silly wee arguement – we were together for 4 and a half years and had only got our first wee house together – since then he has moved back in with his mum. He says he still love and cares for me but isn’t ‘in’ love with me! Last weekend at a party I started flirting with another guy and my ex went mental – maybe i shouldn’t have been flirting but it was him that ended it and it wasn’t as if i was going to do anything with this guy. I have gave him plenty of space and haven’t been calling him.

I asked him if we could give ‘us’ another go and he said no. No reasons or excuses with that answer.

Anybody got any tips on how to win your ex back?

Well, I broke up with my ex NOT because he cheated one me or something but because we have different outlook and values when it comes in a relationship and it was making us unhappy.. but he only realized all of this when I break up with him.. Now that I’m already engaged with my fiance and I love my fiance… my ex is showing more effort to win me back..

How will I let him know that I don’t want to go back to him by not hurting not only him but both of us?

somehow he still hold a special place in my heart..
it’s just that I have to move on now but I can’t be that happy when I know that he still have not moved on…

Two years ago I met and started dating an amazing man. He had full custody of his kids, who were 7 months and a year and a half at the time, and his ex wife was granted visitation every other weekend but she had vanished. I’ve raised these children as my own for the last two years, and their dad and I are getting married in three months, and the plan has always been for me to adopt the kids when we get married.

A month ago he started getting calls from his ex wife, demanding to see the kids she hasn’t seen in two years. Technically she is still allowed visitation since they never went back to court after she vanished.
He put off her seeing the kids as long as he could, he called his lawyer, and court is next month. In the mean time his lawyer advised him to let her see them, but in a public place since she has a history of substance abuse problems and the kids don’t know her.

We took the kids to the mall to meet her, and when their dad and I walked away they screamed and cried for us. When we picked them up 2 hours later, they were still crying and thrilled to come with us. She has been calling every day to see them, and they want nothing to do with her.

This is such a tough situation, they are my kids, I am their mommy and they don’t even know her. The oldest told me that she was saying all kinds of bad things about me, and that she was telling her that I’m not her mommy.
How dare she, after everything I’ve done for these kids that she abandoned?
I know there is no way around this, if she wants back in the kids lives she’s going to get it whether we like it or not, but how can I deal with this? It’s causing so much stress on everything. I am totally in love with my fiance and the kids and would never ever leave them, but this is such a huge change and I don’t know what to tell myself to make me sleep at night and feel like I’m not going to lose my children.

I’m at a point in my life where I am more financially secure and I just want all the bs to go away. (I’m a banker) Thinking about those things about my ex-wife, I have fallen back in love with her. How do I get her back? She is married now and happy, but I want her to be happy with me. What should I do. Please don’t judge me. Relationships are complicated and sometimes people just don’t get it right the first time. Especially when they were young. So again, I ask for only mature answers, and no blows to my character. I know I was horrible. I don’t have to hear it from others.

my fiance is about to spend a total $5k in lawyer fees over the course of 6 months to fight his ex wife in court to prove that he’s paid his child support, and to stop some other things. she lied on court documents saying he has not paid and was going to have the judge rule in her favor for a warrant to be issued on his arrest. obviously we have proof he paid and had to hire a lawyer to fight this for us since we’re in WY and she’s in IL. To make a long story short, basically since she lied under oath and said he was not paying support and started this HUGE mess with the judge and lawyers, should we take her to small claims court to have his lawyer fees repaid and also the overpayment of child support repaid too? Some of his taxes were offset and sent to her which was not supposed to happen because he’s paid over in his back child support. Would you ask the judge to add in what it will cost for us to go to IL for court too? Time off work, gas, food and lodging etc?

also, i’m not familiar with IL law, so i don’t know that it’s even possible to do something like this. we’re just so aggrivated over her screwing us out of money and being a b**** about EVERYTHING!

I’m getting frustrated at the harassing phone calls and pleas from her to my fiance to try and get him to come back to her. He doesn’t like it and neither do I, but what can one do? They have a child together, so that seems to be the excuse she gives him for calling. It is like everyday and usually when we sit down to eat or are busy doing something.
