Should I go about winning my ex-boyfriend back?

I dumped my ex-boyfriend and accepted my current boyfriend about 3 months ago, because I didn’t think that ex loved me very much.
Latter I find out that my current boyfriend is even worse. Now I am thinking about breaking up with the current boyfriend and win back the ex, as I miss him day and night, as I have loved him for two years till now, as I never loved the current boyfriend.
I talked with him, and I realized now that he actually had loved me very much. I just didn’t treasure his love. I regret, my heart breaks for what I have done. I told him that I am still in love with him. But he said, he don’t want our relationship anymore because I hurt him, and because we are not suitable together.
I don’t know what to do now. Should I try hard to win him back, or should I just let him go? I am really broken, thank you for your advice!!
I just cannot stand there and let him go, I want to win him back and tell him that I always loved him, I just want to tell him that I was so stupid that I made a big mistake. I wound be die if I can’t do anything but let him go heartbroken. I cannot imagin him comforted by another girl. what should I do? I know it won’t work If I go to persue him, because he is that kind of guy who won’t be persued. I love him, I don’t know what to do.

A lot of people, I did say a lot, will need time to recover their broken heart, and will have to separate with the one who cause the event, that is you right?
You have to give him time. From several month to 3 years to just be friendly with each-other again. Me and my girlfriend broke up early 2008 and just recently we’re talking friendly with each-other again. And since again, feelings ignited between us.
Just time. Remember, the more you push him, the further he’ll get away. Just stay out and hope he’ll come back to YOU.
