Are you Cheryl? Must be a same *** marriage. Congratulations. You must have been a champion dead beat parent. Contact the court to find out what to do, or a lawyer.

if social services supported them the taxpayers want it back, you should be ashamed of yourself.

It is solely the mother of the adult daughter’s position to file in court to drop any arrearages in child support..that would pay for the daughter’s college..but people make all kinds of decisions today..doesn’t this mean you never paid child support..it’s a very large amount of arrearages owed.

Your ex has no say so in it. The money has to be paid. Had she filed a motion to terminate child support BEFORE you got behind, you probably could have, but since she didn’t, you owe the money, and California will not rest until it gets it, or until you wind up in jail and get your license suspended. That’s one state that does not play around with support, at all. Your daughter will end up getting the money. How do you get that far behind? Did you ever pay a dime?

if they used any of the states resources like welfare or food stamps or medical then you owe the state not your ex and they will get it from you one way or the other they will be easier on you if you try to set up payments
